Tra Mi Dinh
Tra Mi Dinh is an Australian dancer and choreographer. She’s danced with renowned companies Lucy Guerin Inc and Stephanie Lake Company while carving her own choreographic path. Her work, The ___, won the 2022 Keir Choreographic Award, propelling her into major commissions with Sydney Dance Company (New Breed 2023), Lucy Guerin Inc (Pieces 2024), and the Sydney Opera House (Shortwave 2024). Driven by a fascination with time and transformation, her works challenge linearity and expectation through precise, absurd, and rhythmically charged movement. Off stage, Tra Mi cultivates community through initiatives like DRIP (Dancers Relaxing In the Park) and the Dancers are Dancing Series intensive and masterclasses. A resident artist at The Substation (24/25) Tra Mi’s choreographic work has been supported with residencies across the east coast at Bundanon, ReadyMade, Australian Dance Theatre, Tasdance, Lucy Guerin Inc, to name a few. Her work as a dance artist was recognised with a Chloe Munro Fellowship in 2022.
