Kara Burdack

Kara Burdack is a dancer, performer, creative, movement teacher and graduate of the Victorian College of the Arts, Bachelor of Dance.

Kara is a passionate freelance teacher based in Melbourne having taught in a variety of contexts nationally and internationally: South Africa, New Zealand and Thailand. She is a certified Countertechnique Teacher, 500hr Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga Instructor, Pilates Mat and Reformer Instructor as well as a Barre Instructor. Her teaching credits include Chunky Move, Lucy Guerin Inc., Sydney Dance Company, Victorian College of the Arts, Transit Dance, The Space School of Performance Arts, Melbourne University: School of Design, RMIT: School of Fashion & Textiles, Bangkok Dance Academy, Dance Masters International, Aleenta Barre, Motus Life, One Hot Yoga, Lifestyle Lab, Convergence Dance Studios, DXP, The Dance Centre, Melton High School and Kristine Ditchfield School of Dance.

She has performed nationally and internationally for choreographers such as Deanne Butterworth, Jess Smith, James Batchelor, Lina Limosani, Bicky Lee, Megan Beckwith, Rebecca Hilton and was a guest artist with touring company Brouzka.

Her choreographic and solo work has been presented by: Body Conference 1.0 and The Space School of Performance Arts. Kara has collaborated on projects with Lachalan Moore (Olympus), Laura Summers (Seven Sisters Festival), Alana Everett (GQ Men’s Runway, VAMFF), Talitha Ma.
