Alice Dixon
Alice is a dancer, performer and choreographer. She has performed for artists and companies including Natalie Cursio Co., Monica Bill Barnes & Company (NYC), Reckless Sleepers (Belguim/UK), BalletLab, Euginia Lim, Nebahat Erpolat, Robert McCreddie, Tracie Mitchell and One Step at a Time Like This. Since 2007 Alice has worked extensively for Opera Australia, performing in productions in Sydney and Melbourne.
With her collaborators Caroline Meaden and William McBride she has made and presented five original full-length works. Their most recent work, Lady Example, was presented at The Substation for Next Wave Festival and nominated for four Green Room Awards including Best Production and Ensemble Performance. It was subsequently presented by Arts House for Dance Massive 2019.
Alice has presented solo choreographic works at Lucy Guerin Inc (Pieces for Small Spaces), The Substation and The Victorian College of Arts.
She is currently working with Opera Australia as revival choreographer for their touring production of Madama Buttery and is excited to perform in Antony Hamilton’s premier work as artistic director of Chunky Move later in 2019.
She is a graduate of the VCA (Postgraduate Diploma in Performance Creation), The University of Melbourne (Bachelor of Science) and the National Theatre Ballet School (Diploma in Classical Dance).
