First Peoples Youth Dance Workshops
Commencing in April 2021, Chunky Move in partnership with Dimboola’s First Languages and Arts Training Indigenous Corporation and Goolum Goolum Aboriginal Cooperative offer an Indigenous Contemporary Dance school holiday workshop program for youth (ages primary to high school). Hosted by Chunky Move’s Ngioka Bunda-Heath (Wakka Wakka, Ngugi, Birrpai) and Andrew Toby AKA Bala Neba (Strong Foundation) (Wakka Wakka, Gangulu) the participants will engage in movement workshops, contemporary technique and hip hop classes and learn routines inspired by stories shared from Wotjobaluk Elders.
