Marketing and Development Coordinator

This role supports marketing, communications, and branding while coordinating development activities and donor stewardship programs at Chunky Move.

Established in 1995, Chunky Move is Victoria’s flagship contemporary dance company. Internationally renowned for ambitious and highly original work, our award-winning company maintains a reputation for being at the forefront of contemporary dance globally. Under the leadership of co-CEOs Antony Hamilton and Kristy Ayre we deliver an annual program of major works, commissions, residencies and education offerings. Since its inception, the company has performed 350 seasons to 610K+ audiences in over 130 cities worldwide.

Purpose of the role

The Marketing and Development Coordinator reports to the Marketing and Communications Manager, but has regular interface with the Executive Director and co-CEO regarding Chunky Move’s Fundraising and Development Strategy. The Marketing and Development Coordinator will contribute to the delivery of high-quality marketing, communications and brand outputs whilst coordinating the delivery of a robust program of development activities and donor stewardship. This role leverages Chunky Move’s recent momentum and success in fundraising and the establishment of a new CRM system and optimises the company’s marketing and communications outputs.

The Marketing and Development Coordinator role will suit a proactive and creative problem-solver with highly developed communication and interpersonal skills, who wants to make a difference in the Melbourne Arts community.

 

Working Structure

In undertaking the duties of this position, the Marketing and Development Coordinator will be required to work in direct cooperation with all Chunky Move personnel.

 

Other Key Relationships

(Internal) Artistic Director and co-CEO, Senior Producer, Finance Manager, Office and Program Coordinator, Fundraising Working Group (Chunky Move Board members).

(External) Publicist, Marketing / Comms teams of partner organisations, Individual donors, Trusts and Foundations, Corporate Partners, Sponsors and other relevant stakeholders.
